A whirlwind of a summer. Took a 3-week boating trip with our friends to Wisconsin in July. Had a fabulous time. We played many rounds of golf over the summer. Some were great and some were pretty horrible. We had our boat for sale the entire summer and magically it sold the last week of the boating season. In addition, we sold the dinghy and the slip. So next summer we will be in Montague for a few months but in the RV.
We celebrated Russ Horton’s birthday with a fabulous party produced by Cheryl Horton. Fun was had by all. After came home to watch the OSU football team beat Notre Dame at the last minute. Screams of joy from John instead of the yelling the previous four quarters.
We played one more round of golf at Lincoln Golf Club. It was a windy and chilly day so not very many people on the course. We both played fairly well.
I have no idea how couples can renovate a house. We bought a new TV for the RV and it took us 3 hours to get it installed. We had to move the bracket on the wall and go to the hardware store a few times to get the right bolts (M8) for the mounting bracket to the TV.
Said goodbye to Darla and Scott on Friday. Scott is now the only original sip owner.
Departed Montague and Saturday with a stop in Lansing overnight. Said goodbye to one set of grandkids and kids followed by a fun night at Stobers with our friends. We parked the bus in front of Maggie and Jerry’s house. We will take a month to get to Florida with lots of stops along the way.
