We are getting acclimated to all the activities in the park. You can play poker every night, bingo on Tuesday, Pickleball daily, fitness room, onsite bar, and a thousand other craft sessions. Played Texas hold’em on Monday. I was the first one out. The most significant loss was when I had Q and 5 spades in my hand and three spades on the board. Lost to a K and 4 in an opponent’s hand.
We did a hike in Saguaro National Park. About halfway up I turned around as it was getting too slippery on the rocks for me. In addition, when you are paying attention to the ground you really don’t get to enjoy the scenery. My next hike will be long but flatter so I can enjoy it.
Thanksgiving dinner was held at the clubhouse. We were assigned tables and brought a dish to pass. We met a lot of new people and the food was excellent.
Ordered a few items on Amazon. Had one of them delivered on Saturday. The other items said they were delivered on Sunday but were never received. I called Amazon this morning and sure enough, they show it is on a truck for today and the delivery guy yesterday returned them to the warehouse. Seriously why do they let the drivers mark off they are delivered if they aren’t?
Golfed at Fred Enke golf course. The lessons are finally starting to pay off. I hope it continues in the next round. Drives were actually straight, in the air, and just over 200 yards. I even overdrove a 217 par 4 green.
Cheryl won a game at bingo this week and I wasn’t the first one out in Texas Hold’em.
Drove up to the top of Mt. Lemmon. Beautiful views and even a little snow at the top.
