Day 11 -Edmunston, NB to Fredericton, NB 9/24/19

Today I planned for an uneventful and easy departing procedure. It was a lot better but not perfect. Remember our antenna issue not going down, well I still didn’t understand why we can’t get more channels. Did some research on my FB group and sure enough, you can rotate the antenna. After learning how to do that, we were able to get a few more channels.

Starting the departure procedures and I notice the antenna won’t go all the way down. I remind John not to pull in the one slide until we do that because you can’t get to the antenna crank with it closed. I am doing my routine on the driver side of the coach and walk around and the passenger slide is in. John has to open it back up and I have to maneuver the antenna in the correct direction so it can be lowered properly.

This spot was we had to back in so we have to rehook the Jeep. John backs the RV up and we do the process (this one we have down pretty well) now. However, we notice the bike rack is a little loose. Of course, the tools are in the back of the Jeep in a compartment where you can’t get to (easily) if you can’t open the hatch. So we finally get to the tool of contortionist moves and tighten the rack. The tools will now be stored in a different spot.

On the road again, and every so many miles there is a sign that says moose crossing. Sure enough, lying right next to the highway is a huge dead moose. Yet another item I get to worry about, hitting a moose. Well, we see one huge dead moose on the shoulder and one big live one off the road.

We get hooked up on the campsite and no one in sight. We go for a walk and I discover my toe really hurts. I have no idea how this happens but my toe is now broken, so I get to limp for a while.

We decide to explore the area (John wants to find more moose). Well, we stumble into a little town hoping to find a local pub. Apparently, because it is off-season they are all closed on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays and it is a Tuesday. Back to the campsite. The small campground without any campers or RV’s is full. I think this is the only place to stop for miles, which explains why it is the most expensive.

Lots of these signs
