Florida bound 2/12/20-2/13/20

Holy crap, we are on the road by 8:45 am this morning. Normally I get up around 7 and work for a while then we start the process and hope to be on the road by 10 am. We have a very long drive for us (4.5 hours) so we wanted to be on the road earlier so we could relax and enjoy warmer weather as we will be in Jacksonville, FL.

Because we are in the US I can work on the road while John is driving (our hot spot works great) and it also keeps my eyes off the road and keeps me calmer.

This morning, it looks like we did everything correctly the first time. It is possible to teach old dogs new tricks. No rain, overcast and about 60 degrees for the drive.

I forgot to mention when we were in West Virginia I managed to bump my head pretty good on the slide. It was raining really hard so I had my rain gear on and the hood obstructed my vision. At least I am going with that excuse. So I have a lovely bump in the middle of my forehead.

The campground in Jacksonville was a little tight for turns but John did a great job. We actually got to wash the RV and the jeep.

This morning as John pulled in the slides he decided to look at the top of the slides from the inside and see if there was any water or leaves. Nope, none of that just that the rubber seal has completely come loose. We are going to have to figure out to resecure it.

Today is our final day of driving for a while. We will sitting for about 7 days and enjoying the warmth of Florida with our friends and golfing and relaxing.
