RV Winter 2024 – Camp Creek,WV – Greensboro – Grenville, NC

We stopped at Camp Creek, WV on our way south. This is one of our favorite state parks with spacious sites and nice trails. Did a new trail this time and had a good workout.

Spending four days in Greensboro to visit family. It is always great to see Jim and Marcia. We began our visit with an Italian dinner. Golf was cancelled on Saturday so watching football was our answer.

Sunday John and I went to a botanical garden. He really didn’t want to go because he said there is no flora this time of year. He was right, we actually walked the entire very small garden in about 7 minutes. So off to Costco, we went to buy some great deals on Chile, Argentina, and Napa Valley wines.

Ended our visit with a game of golf at my cousin’s home course Stoney Creek. My worst round of golf in probably 3 years. Finished our visit with a nice Italian dinner.

We arrived in Greenville and had a lovely visit and dinner with our friends Dave and Kate. We are at a very small park with absolutely no one around us. Played two rounds of golf, one at the Greenville Country Club and one at Cypress Landing. Golfed better than last Sunday but not great. I cannot drive at all. Did fine on range then on the course it was like I didn’t know how to hold a driver. Ended the round by getting attacked by red ants.

On to North Myrtle Beach.
