RV Winter 2023 – Arrive in Tucson

Spent the first night in Sonora, Tx, and the second night in Van Horn, Tx. Absolutely nothing in Sonora and a little more but not much in Van Horn, except the surrounding scenery is turning desert and mountains so pretty. I think if we were here for a few days we could find a few places to go within an hour’s drive that would be interesting. We did go to a local steakhouse. The reviews were mixed, either very good or terrible nothing in the middle. So I get to be the first to write a mediocre review. I like being first.

One last stop at a Harvest Host winery before we land in Tucson for a few months. Enjoyed the wine tasting with a charcuterie board for dinner. Now to watch MSU basketball with a win after 2 OTs.

Arrived in Tucson and got set up. Our park is like a mini Villages in Florida, with lots to do. As much as I like the sun, I’m not sure I want the 4 seasons in one day, chilly spring in the morning, sunshine summer in the day, football weather as soon as the sun goes, and heat on for the night. Still better than snow back in Michigan.

My cousins are also here for the winter so able to see them as they arrived the day before us and we enjoyed a little happy hour when they arrived.

Golfed at Saddlebrook with Peg and Randy. Had golf lessons on Thursday so trying out the different grip and positions. After nine holes I adjusted some more and I had some shots that were better than ever before, unfortunately, they were far and few between.
